PRINCIPAL DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Fiscal Responsibilities:
oversees and/or prepares daily financial accounting, prepares deposit slips, records all financial transactions into quick books, codes line item budget codes in order to track all program/grant related expenses
prepares all information related to annual audit
monitors and reconciles accounts payable
bank reconciliation; reconciles all financial activities with bank statements
generates P&L and any other financial statements as requested by the executive director.
payroll – complete payroll twice a month for all employees, process payroll tax liability and 401k. Creates and maintains electronic time sheet for all employees and process them for payroll.
prepares quarterly employee tax reports to the IRS
Grants Management:
assists the Executive Director in grant preparation or submission
monitors service and client hours to ensure compliance with all grant requirements.
prepares grant reports to respective funding sources as required for each grant.
coordinates all grants through the use of billing and data tracking programs to provide regular monthly and quarterly reports to track clients and their respective services
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: B.A. in Accounting, Business or Non-Profit Management
2. Licensure: N/A
3. Professional Work Experience: Accounting background, working with accounts payable and receivables, grants management and bookkeeping are required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Ability to work between all Microsoft office programs
• Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
• Payroll experience
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks / QuickBooks Non-Profit and related financial programs
• Data management experience
